National Product Recalls Impacting Texas Summer Plans
If you're planning on living it up this summer with friends or family, it's important to keep an eye on product safety as we head into the vaycay season.
It's officially summer in 2024, so that means we are all scheduling beach trips, camping outings and other outdoor activities. But wait! The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission just released the latest product recalls that could put a damper on your summer plans.
Theefun Kids Gardening Tools Sets
Apparently, the handle strings contain an excess amount of phthalates and can be toxic if consumed by small children. Consumers are urged to return the product to the store or contact the company. Another option is to remove the handle strings and dispose of them in the proper manor.
myCharge POWER HUB portable charger
The 10,000mAh chargers were recalled due to the overheating risk and, as a result, threats of burns or fires. Those who purchased this product are told to contact the myCharge company for a free replacement charger.
Frontgate Resort Collection Newport Aluminum and Teak Chaises
The backrest on these can suddenly slam shut which pose risks of injured or amputated fingers. I think I remember something like this in a Saw movie... Consumers are encouraged to contact the company to receive a free repair kit and backrest support bar.
Instinct Professional Vector Motor Cordless Hair Clippers
Those pesky lithium-ion batteries are prone to overheat, causing burning or fire hazards. Consumers are urged to replace the battery with a free replacement and dispose of the old battery in a safe manor.
