
Ice Cream Bars Sold In Texas Recalled Over Listeria Risk
During the summer, one of the top snack items for people, especially here in Texas is some nice cold ice cream.
But there is some bad news. There is another recall alert today that you need to know about. And for those who love ice cream, you may want to check your freezer to see if you have any of these items.
Massive Recall of Ice Cream Bars
More than 100,000 ice cream bars are being recalled due to the possibility of listeria contamination. Florida-based Rich's Ice Cream, which is sold in stores across America, including in Texas is recalling select products die to the possible contamination.

According to USA Today, the recall impacts lot numbers 24351 through 25156. 110,292 cases could be impacted by the recall. The FDA has labeled this a Class II recall meaning that it's a situation "in which use of, or exposure to, a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote".

Texas and 22 other States Impacted
Rich Ice Cream products are sold in 23 states including Texas. You will often find them in master cases and individually wrapped. USA Today reports that the recalled ice cream bars are the following:
- Chocolate Crunch Cake Bars
- Strawberry Shortcake Bars, Rich Bars
- Crumbled Cookie Bars
- Orange Cream Bars
- Fudge Frenzy Bars
- Cotton Candy Twirl Bars
- Savagely Sour Blue Raspberry Bars
- Savagely Sour Cherry Bars
- Cool Watermelon Bars
