Multi-Agency Prostitution Sting Leads to 16 Arrests in Lubbock
16 people were arrested in Lubbock as part of a multi-agency law enforcement prostitution sting operation. The operation occurred on Friday, November 18, in the 3400 block of the Marsha Sharp Freeway in Central Lubbock. This sting was a joint operation conducted by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Amarillo Police Department, and the Lubbock Police Department’s Special Operations Division.
During the sting operation 16 people in total were arrested with three arrests for misdemeanor prostitution and 13 felony arrests for solicitation of prostitution. Two females were also identified as possible victims of human trafficking but there are currently no further updates to the status of the two women involved.
