Woman Killed By Camacho Identified by Family Members
Family members have identified the woman killed by 46 year-old Lucio Gollo Camacho, of Muleshoe, who led police on a vehicle chase throughout multiple counties Friday morning (Jan. 5).
Family members say Oralia Granados was the victim of the stabbing that occurred overnight. Family also stated that Camacho was Granados’ current boyfriend and nobody knows what prompted the stabbing and kidnapping of her child.
Officials say Camacho stabbed Granados and kidnapped her 3 year-old child in the 1400 block of County Road 1038 in Bailey County. Then Camacho traveled to Post in Garza County around 1:30 a.m. and attempted to take a weapon from an officer at the Dalby Prison Unit. Camacho then ran back to his truck and led police on a chase.
The pursuit eventually reached Lubbock, where a road block was set up by police to stop Camacho.
KAMC News reports that Lubbock County Sheriff’s deputies, Garza County Sheriff’s deputies, Texas DPS troopers and Slaton Police were at the scene when Camacho was arrested.
Camacho’s original charges were Evading Arrest, Resisting Arrest, and Abandonment of a Child, but additional charges of Aggravated Kidnapping and Capital Murder will be filed.
The child was taken by CPS and returned to a family member.
At the time of this article being written, Camacho's bond amount has not been listed.
