Additional details concerning the fire that occurred the morning of Monday, May 25th in Lubbock have been released.

KAMC News reports the owner of an RV parked it at a friend's house with permission about two months prior in the 800 block of North University. Then on Monday, a person who lives at the residence called 911 at around 5:30 a.m. to report the fire.

The victim, 39-year-old David Garcia, was in jail at the time, having been arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping on March 12th.

Police have not said if the fire was set as revenge for the kidnapping. No arrests have been made yet.
