Man Turns Himself Into Levelland Police After Deadly Shooting
In Levelland, one man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting.
KAMC News reports the shooting took place at about 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020, in the 400 block of Cedar Avenue in Levelland, Texas.
When officers arrived at the scene, they reportedly found a Hispanic male with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was transported to Covenant Hospital in Levelland and was pronounced dead a short time later.
After the shooting, a 24-year-old man named Brennon Gage Guerra turned himself into Levelland police and confessed to the shooting. Guerra has been charged with murder and was booked into the Hockley County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
It isn't Guerra's first time in jail. According to Hockley County Jail records, in 2015, Guerra was arrested and charged for theft of a firearm. In 2016, he was also arrested and charged for property theft.
The victim's identity has not been released.
