A man who was pulled over in Lubbock back on June 20th, 2021, has admitted to smuggling 10 undocumented immigrants.

21-year-old Angel Andres Fraga-Hernandez was pulled over by Texas Highway Patrol, who noticed the immigrants in his vehicle. They told officers that they had recently crossed into the United State illegally and were traveling to Dallas for work. One of the immigrants in Hernandez's vehicle was a 5-year-old child.

KFYO News previously reported on Hernandez being arrested in November.

Then, it was reported that he was driving a Honda minivan with an Arizona paper plate when he was pulled over for speeding. After a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper noticed that Hernandez was acting suspiciously, he noticed people laying down in the rear cargo area of the minivan. Some of these people said that they didn't even know Hernandez, and that they were just being transported.

$3,500 were also confiscated from Hernandez at this time.

As of Monday, January 10th, a federal judge had not yet accepted Hernandez's plea deal. If it is accepted, Hernandez will face a maximum of 5 years in federal prison.
