Let's be completely honest, Texas Tech Football has one of the best entrances in college football. When the Masked Rider rides onto the field with the football team following, people get chills.

But this Saturday, the pre-game activities will look very different after veterinarians diagnosed Centennial Champion with inflammation. That means that Centennial Champion will not be running on the field as the football teams takes the field.

The good news is that veterinarians expect Centennial Champion to return to pre-game activities for the final two home games of the season beginning November 2nd against TCU.

According to a press release by Texas Tech, the Masked Rider will still be participating this weekend and there will still be a chance for pictures with the horse.

The Masked Rider and Centennial Champion will make an appearance at 4 p.m. at Raider Alley prior to the game to take pictures. The Masked Rider also will participate in the rest of the homecoming festivities including the parade and bonfire Friday (Oct. 13).

Texas Tech takes on Kansas State on Saturday, October 14th at 6:00 p.m.
