Patrick Mahomes, a Texas Tech Success Story

Of course, we can't forget about Texas Tech's golden child: Patrick Mahomes. Speaking of Patty, did you know that he will not be playing in the first game of the preseason this year?

Here's the announcement from their local news channel:

Mahomes will be benched for at least the first preseason game, but there is a chance that he will sit out all three. Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid stated that this decision is to keep him healthy for the regular season, so we'll see how they do come September 14 against the Broncos.
