Major Accident at 82nd & Quaker Claims One Life

A horrific two-car accident left one person dead and another injured this morning in southwest Lubbock. A grey Chevy Tahoe collided with a BMW sedan at a high rate of speed at the intersection of 82^nd and Quaker.

LPD tells KFYO News that witnesses said the SUV was allegedly traveling over 80 mph.  In the accident, Sherry Swann was the driver of the Tahoe and killed at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

The driver of the BMW, Ladon Wells, was taken to UMC with serious injuries.
