Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, political analyst and Washington Times columnist Matt Mackowiak joined Chad to discuss the big stories in politics.

Mackowiak and Hasty talked about the necessity for the Republican Party to pass tax reform, the contest over which party will control the next congress, and Democrat prospects for the next presidential election.

About the U.S. Senate, the urgency for a GOP victory on tax reform legislation, and the consequences for failure to pass, Mackowiak said,

If they fail to pass tax reform, if they take a vote and it fails this week in the Senate, I really don't know where things are headed. I think things could get a thousand times worse than they are now.
