Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, political analyst and Washington Times columnist Matt Mackowiak joined Chad to discuss the most recent news, including the GOP goals on tax reform, the latest on Washington scandals, and more.

While talking about the prospects for tax reforms, how it is faring with the passage through the Senate, and the differences between the House and Senate versions of the legislation, Mackowiak said,

I think the [Republican] party understands, and the members up there understand they have to get this into law, they want to do it by the end of the year. They want people to start seeing more money in their take-home pay starting in January, when withholding (the amount that's withheld by the government) is reduced. So I feel pretty good about where it is. Still some hurdles, we'll see what choices they make, we'll see if they get the votes.
