Lubbock Police Search for Information on a Barfight Possibly Linked to Man’s Death Early Friday

Lubbock police are investigating a death which they believe to have occurred under suspicious circumstances.

32-year-old Mark Hernandez was found dead by his sister inside of his apartment in the El Cid complex, located in the 1300 block of 65^th Drive today.

Officers say that though there were no blatant wounds on Hernandez spotted by the officers, the death is considered suspicious due to his age and no known health issues.

Police are searching for information involving an altercation that occurred at La Kumbia Club, located at 5501 Avenue Q around 2 a.m. this morning, which they believe may be tied to Hernandez's death.
