Lubbock Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing two convenience stores on early Friday morning.

At 1:11 a.m. Friday, April 4th, the suspected entered the E-Z Mart in the 5400 block of 50th Street. He displayed a handgun and demanded that the store clerk give him money from the register. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

The next incident occurred at 1:44 a.m. Friday, as the suspect entered the Rip Griffin Shell Station in the 4700 block of 4th Street. He brandished a handgun and demanded that the clerk give him money from the register. The suspect then fled on foot toward the apartment complex to the north of the store.

The suspect in both incidents is described as a black male, standing 5’9” to six feet tall and weighing about 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black nylon cap on his head, a black leather jacket, a black and white button-up shirt, a red undershirt, and red shoes.
