Lubbock Police Recover Stolen Vehicle

A stolen vehicle has been recovered by Lubbock Police.

On Wednesday, August 14th at 7:21pm, Officer Matt Boggs spotted a 2011 black Ford F-250 pickup truck at the 1700 block of Buddy Holly Avenue and recognized the vehicle as stolen.

Boggs began to follow the vehicle, while in his personal vehicle, to a vacant lot at 15^th and Avenue L and watched the passengers of the stolen vehicle before marked Police units showed up.

Both occupants in the stolen truck then began to escape on foot. Adam Alonzo, the driver of the stolen vehicle, was arrested for Unauthorized use of motor vehicle, a fraudulent use of indentifying information, and an outstanding warrant.

The other person in the vehicle has been identified, but not located at this time. Burglary tools, along with suspected stolen property were located inside of the stolen vehicle.
