Lubbock Police and the FBI are investigating an armored truck robbery that happened just after 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27th.

The driver of the armored truck arrived at BBVA Bank, located at 8200 Nashville Avenue to restock an ATM. After he finished restocking, he left the locked room with a duffel bag with leftover cash from the previous restocking.

As the victim approached the armored truck and was reaching for his key, he felt was he thought was a firearm press into his back. That's when a suspect told him to open the truck doors.

The driver complied, and the suspect forced the driver to enter the truck. The suspect grabbed the duffel bag with the cash and while in the truck took more cash and placed it in the bag.

It's reported that a second suspect told the first to hurry, and after the first suspect left the truck, both suspects fled on foot.

Not much has been said to describe the suspects other than that they were both male. The picture above shows one of the suspects wearing all black, but his face is obscured by a face covering.

Anyone with information on this case or the suspects is asked to call Crime Line at 806-741-1000. Information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward up to $10,000.
