Lubbock Christian University Volleyball Player Undergoes Surgery for Brain Bleed
The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaps volleyball team ended their regular season following a medical emergency with sophomore player Malori Maddox during their November 10 game against Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls.
Maddox left the game early with a severe headache and had surgery to treat a brain bleed in Wichita Falls before being transferred to Dallas for further treatment.
Head Coach Jennifer Lawrence said Maddox was, “in exceptional care and we know her fighting spirit, optimism and faith will continue to shine.”
The forfeit ended the Lady Chaps regular season, but they will enter the Heartland Conference Tournament November 20 seeded third.
