Thursday, Maddox's family uploaded a video to the Pray for Malori Facebook page of the volleyball player using a spoon to feed herself.
The page chronicles the teen's arduous recovery process. Maddox collapsed at LCU's Nov. 10 game against Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls and underwent surgery to treat a brain bleed.
Recently, Maddox's breathing tube was removed so she could breathe on her own. In the videos, you can see she's had one side of her head shaved - a necessity for the surgery that was performed.
"Malori is working hard and has a long way to go. She's encouraging all of us to pray more and harder," the most recent update on her health reads.
Maddox is currently in a Dallas hospital recovering from her surgery.
A GoFundMe account has been set up in Maddox's name. As of press time, it's received more than $14,000.
