A Levelland man has admitted to manslaughter in relation to the head-on crash that killed 37-year-old Jose Antonio Zarate back in July of 2016.
KAMC News reports that the crash happened in the 3200 block of Avenue Q in Lubbock. Police say that 33-year-old Kenyal Oshea Chambers was driving northbound in the southbound lanes. Zarate was pronounced dead at the scene.
Chambers is also being required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life due to a conviction back in 2005 for the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl.
