Jerry Reynolds Test Drives The 2019 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack
Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Matt Martin and Matt Crow to talk about his test drive of the week, as well as other auto industry news.
This week Jerry Reynolds was test driving the 2019 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack, Dodge's retro muscle car. "There's nothing fancy about it but its got 485 horses and it's just pure raw muscle. No superchargers or turbochargers added to this car. It's a 6.4 liter v8 and this thing will just get up and go," Jerry said. The car has cloth seats, 20 inch tires, and settings on the inside to change the steering and suspension. Jerry also compared this car to the Dodge Hellcat, which has 707 horses and is supercharged, but despite this, Jerry said,
"When you take off in this car, and I remember the Hellcats that I've reviewed, this car sounds and feels just as good. I would have never thought that I'd have said that because two-hundred-and-something horses is a big difference, but it just doesn't feel like it."
Jerry said that this is a great, cheaper option when compared to the Hellcat. The car has a $46,000 window sticker price, which Jerry says is a good price considering what you get with the engine.
The Car Pro also talked about new stories on his website carprousa.com, including two new car reviews, a story on a recall of the 2016 Ford F150 after they have had big transmission problems, and a story on Ram Truck tailgates.
