The Texas Wake & Surf Series is back and it kicks off this Memorial Day Weekend, with Wake the Canyon! Start off your Summer in Lubbock, Tx at Buffalo Springs Lake!

'Wake the Canyon' has been happening out at Buffalo Springs Lake for several years and it just keeps getting bigger and better! Hundreds of amateur and pro wake board and Foil competitors head out to the slow side of the lake to compete. It's really cool that they do it on the 'slow side' (it's called that because it's a no wake zone for boats usually) because all the spectators can watch the action from the shore near the beach. It's a great set up for competitors and spectators alike!

This year Wake the Canyon is teaming up with WWA & Lubbock Sports to host the WWA Texas State Championship! Yup you heard that right. The WWA will be holding the Texas State Championship at WTC'24.  So what does this mean for the event?

Well not much, the event will be ran the same with winners of each divisions being the Texas State Champion. The Texas Wake & Surf Series will also add Foil to the divisions for competition. So better start practicing to be the First TXWSS Foil Champion.

If you don't know what a 'Foil' is, well...it's like a chair with a big fin on the bottom. The rider sits on the chair while being pulled by the boat and the foil creates the lift to launch them through the air where these lunatics do all sorts of sick flips and tricks! It's absolutely mesmerizing to watch!
