It is sweeping social media - The 90s Yearbook trend.  What is it?  Basically is using a certain app that will use artificial intelligence  to create a series of yearbook photos from the 90s.  And, as we've found out in the past with A.I., some things turn out great, others just weird.

So, I'm going to take you step by step on what I did.  Some pictures turned out so real I even fooled my own mother.  My brother and sister called up me and said "I don't remember these at all - these are great!" So, there was definitely a wow factor. It's pretty simple and I ended up with 60 photos.  Half of them are great.  Some look like a mutated form of me.  We'll get there...but first- the process...

THE APP...

Ok, there were some APP options off my IPhone.  I decided to go with the EPIK app.  There may be some apps that don't charge you at the end.  I used this one because it was easier and they had a half off special for the day.  It ended up costing me $6 for the 60 photos.  Like I said, that was my choice, you can find a free program if there is one.

Ok, the first step is you have to uphold at least eight selfies.  If you are just out of school and have some on your phone this is easy.  For me, I have to scrounge up some selfies from 90s and it was a little harder.  There was a tutorial about the right photos needed - lighting, face pose, etc. The selfies I used from my school days and 20's had none of that quality and I was concerned.  These are the questionable eight selfies I used...

After the selfies were loaded, it was a two hour process (at least) to get the photos on my app.  As I said earlier, with artificial intelligence, some things turn out amazing - others don't.  Let's focus on the positive first... these are..

THE BEST OF THE CROP...

These are the closest to my school days.  They are a lot better because I actually have a sense of style, good hair and no acne.

These photos actually fooled all my Facebook friends that I was in a modeling contest back in the day...

Alright, so you got some George Michael and Uncle Jesse from "Full House" going on in the those set of photos.  And, like I said, without all my faults, it is the closest to what I looked like back in the day.  These next ones are really not me but presentable...

THE TRENDSETTER...HIP HOP and SPORTS...

Yes, the package comes with some pretty weird poses and has you playing almost every sport possible...and look at logos - it's truly A.I.

IN CONCLUSION...

You will have better selfies than me.  However, with my bad ones, I was still able to get some great results.  So, if you dare - hopefully with these steps - you can wow your friends with the yearbook challenge.
