I follow LBK Scanner Squad on Facebook religiously, as it's a great way to avoid areas with recent accidents/ incidents, and also just because I'm nosey as heck and want all the local Lubbock tea.

What Is LBK Scanner Squad?

LBK Scanner Squad is a team of volunteers who listen to the public First Responder channel and post what they hear on Facebook. It's all developing situations, not verified police reports, so it's important to remember that not everything will be exactly as stated, because the people calling emergency services may be hysterical, confused, etc.

Someone Called About An Eyeball?

So... someone called in about finding an eyeball. That has a lot of Lubbock folks talking and wanting to know more, because of course we are, and of course we do.

The clues: Mackenzie Park, human eyeball, possible human remains, female caller. Also in the comments, we find out it's near the dam. That's enough to be alarming, but not enough to know if this is legit, a misunderstanding, etc. And so far, there are no other reports on this.

What Could Be Happening At Mackenzie Park?

It's possible the caller stumbled across animal remains. It's also possible they stumbled across a prank or are perpetrating a prank themselves. I tend to believe people until proven otherwise, but since we haven't heard anything yet, my guess is this is likely an animal. However, sometimes police will delay notifying the public about certain crimes as they gather evidence, etc. Suicides are also not commonly reported in the news; however, I would think the public nature of this would lead to some sort of statement if that were the case.
