The identities of multiple people who have been killed in separate car crashes have been revealed by authorities.

On Thursday, January 21st, 2021, Lubbock police officers responded to a crash that happened in the 2600 block of East 50th Street at around 2:30 a.m.

It's said a Dodge Caliber was traveling eastbound, and after it crossed nearby railroad tracks, the driver lost control and began to veer south. The car struck the curb and came to a stop off the roadway. At some point during all of this, the passenger door opened and the passenger was ejected.

That passenger, 24-year-old Dava Delora Lynn Gore, was transported to University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

The driver, 37-year-old Estella Ybarra Luna, was uninjured.

The Texas Department of Public Safety also identified a pedestrian that was killed in a crash around 4 miles east of Smyer on Sunday, January 17th.

That crash happened at around 10:40 p.m. on State Highway 114.

A truck, driven by 48-year-old Danny Mark Brackens, collided with a pedestrian, 23-year-old Dustin Wyatt Allen, who was trying to cross the highway. KAMC News reports that Allen was transported to University Medical Center where he died from the injuries he sustained in the crash.

Brackens wasn't injured in the crash.
