Wednesday on The Chad Hasty Show, Rod Lurie, director of the new television drama, "Killing Reagan" joined the broadcast to talk about the movie which is based on Bill O'Reilly's book of the same title.

Lurie and Hasty discussed many aspects of the production, and Lurie talked about some of the things he learned about Ronald Reagan, and the respect he gained for the former President during the making of the movie, which tells the story of the attempted assassination of a United States President.

Talking about the movie and how hard the crew worked to make the movie factually and technically accurate, Lurie said,

I really reveled at getting it as accurate as we possibly could because National Geographic is obsessed with that. And so we just did the most amazing amount of research, so that we could replicate the assassination attempt and everything that happened in the hospital after that, to sort of a pin-point accuracy.

Lurie continued, saying, "It will be almost semi-spell-binding how accurate my whole team came to getting it. "

"Killing Reagan" will air this Sunday evening, October 16, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. (Central Time) on The National Geographic Channel.
