Deceased Baby Identified, Father Arrested

The name of the baby that drowned in a bath tub this week has been released, as well as the identity of her father who is currently in police custody.

The incident occurred in the 6100 block of 37^th Street on Wednesday, September 23 around 11 a.m.

The victim has been identified as Vera Ruth Livesay, a baby girl that was just three months old.

Vera's father, Michael Livesay (27) was detained by Lubbock Police after they gained enough evidence to obtain an arrest warrant.

At this time, no further information has been released.
