
From Bad to Worse: Lubbock Woman Racks up 8 Charges in One Day
A woman in Lubbock was recently arrested after leading police on a car chase that ended in disaster. During the altercation, both the woman and an officer were injured and taken to the hospital. The woman was finally detained and slapped with a whopping eight charges, ranging from aggravated assault to theft of a firearm.

What Caused the Hot Pursuit in Lubbock?
According to a press release from the Lubbock Police Department, officers aresponded to a disturbance at a motel parking lot on the 1300 block of Clovis Rd at around one in the morning on March 6. Sierra Jimenez, 27, was seen crashing into multiple vehicles in the lot with her pickup truck.
Jimenez fled the scene, but shortly after, an officer spotted the truck near North University and Auburn which was now missing a tire. As the officer attempted to pull Jimenez over for a traffic stop, she stepped on the gas, fleeing from the cop.
The two then engaged in a pursuit along University Ave before turning onto Avenue U where Jimenez collided into a separate police unit who was responding to the chase.
Both Jimenez and the officer inside the unit who was struck were taken to UMC for their injuries.
What Charges Did the Lubbock Woman Receive?
Once Jimenez was released from the hospital after suffering minor injuries from the collision and chase, she was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center. Her list of charges include the following:
- Aggravated assault of a public servant
- Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
- Evading a vehicle
- Felon in possession of a firearm
- Theft of a firearm
- Unlawful carrying of a weapon
- Unauthorized use of a vehicle
- Criminal mischief Felony 3
Jimenez is currently at the Lubbock County Detention Center on a combined bond of $130,000.
