We've seen a lot of people asking what business was going up near 19th and Milwaukee. That stretch of 19th Street from the West Loop to Milwaukee is booming. Just recently, Dutch Bros. Coffee opened their first Lubbock location there. Racer Classic Car Wash has built in the area, and another Shipley's Do-Nuts is starting to go up.

But what about that building next to Sonic? What's that going to be?

New signs that went up this week confirmed that a new business called Curby's Express Market is opening their first location soon at 19th and Milwaukee.

So what is Curby's Express Market? Well, we don't have a lot of details just yet, but this is what their website says:

We recognize that today’s on-the-go customer must make a choice between convenience and quality.

The customer is underserved with their retail options.

We blend everything you like about the speed of convenience

with everything you crave in high quality food and drink.

They are also call themselves a "new breed of convenience." According to the sign up during construction, the store will feature a drive-thru and open around 5 a.m.

That's about all we know about Curby's Express Market. Some have asked if they will sell beer or wine, but as of now we don't have the answer to that. We do like mysteries though, and we can't wait to see a new business open in Lubbock.

There is a good chance we will see more new businesses open in the area as many lots have gone up for sale lately.
