Chase Ends Near Funeral for Lynn County Sheriff Abraham Vega

A police chase that went through Lynn County the morning of Friday, July 17th ended near the site of the funeral for Sheriff Abraham Vega.
KAMC News reports that Lamesa Police asked for assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety after a stolen vehicle had driven through Lamesa.
The pursuit led to Lynn County and ended when the vehicle crashed near the Tahoka High School football stadium, where the funeral was set to start around 30 minutes later.
Three people were in the vehicle, one of which suffered minor injuries. All three, whose names have not been released, were taken into custody.
Sheriff Vega passed away due to COVID-19.
