During Tuesday's edition of Lubbock's First News on KFYO, Charles Perry came by the studio to discuss his run for Senate District 29 run as well as the Barbeque kick-off.

When asked if he will be removing his name from the Senate District 83, Charles Perry stated "there are a lot of people who need to know and want to know... I will make a decision on that soon."

In response to concern over District 83 going unrepresented, Perry said, "Let me put it this way, and there is some confusion here. I am the sitting rep until January of 2015... So under no circumstances would House District 83 not have a representative."

Today, July 29th, starting at 11:30AM at the 50 Yardline, Perry will be formally announcing his run for Senate District 28 and serving free burgers to friends and supporters. This will last till about 1PM, and Perry will speak at about 12:15PM. "It's kind of where I started back in 2010," Perry said. "It's been a good place to kick it off and a lot of fun to do it there."

Talking about the decision to pull his name from the ___, Perry assured us "I have got [a] deadline in mind... Sooner than later."
