Charles Perry called in to talk to Tom and Laura Monday morning. Perry discussed his plans for the four committees he has been appointed to -- Ag Committee on Rural Affairs and Water, Health and Human Services, Criminal Justice and Higher Education -- and what they mean to him.

When asked about the Committee of Criminal Justice in particular, Perry said:

That committee talks about does this crime justify this punishment and are we branding that person or are we redeeming that person if you will for his life cycle here on Earth so to speak. Do we have 17-year-olds in a juvie type system, or do we move them to an adult system? That's been a debate for the last two sessions.
