On Wednesday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Hasty talked about this article at CNN, which says that last year Mexico was the second deadliest country in the world.

Drug trafficking battles in Mexico saw the loss of well over 20,000 lives in 2016. That rate was only surpassed by Syria, in the midst of it's civil war.

Mexico recently issued extreme condemnation of Texas for it's new anti-sanctuary cities law, which was signed by governor Greg Abbott last weekend. But Hasty declares that Mexico has no room to criticize Texas law.

While talking about the need to protect U.S. citizens from the violence, Hasty said,

This is why you need a secure border, by the way. You have a war going on in the country just south of us.
