Tuesday on The Chad Hasty Show Texas District 83 Representative Dustin Burrows joined Chad in the KFYO studio to talk about all the latest news and issues affecting the South Plains, Texas, and the nation.

Burrows and Hasty discussed the uproar over a local area newspaper's publication of a cartoon depicting a police officer shooting a person in the back and linking it to illegal immigration and the hot topic of families and border security. The pair also talked about Second Amendment rights, gun safety, school security, and more.

While speaking about the nearly constant efforts of many in media to demonize law enforcement officers as being racists and murderers, Burrows said,

Our community needs to be thanking our police, we respect them, we truly do. And to try to put this false narrative that our police are out to do some sort of criminal activity, and desensitize a certain segment of the population to this idea, it's just wrong.
