BleacherReport.com has ranked the best receivers in college football and they pretty much nailed it. There are a ton of great receivers in college football. Heck, there are a ton of receivers in the Big 12. It will be an automatic that some great receivers will be left off the 1st Team All-Big 12.

The list itself features the top 12 receivers in the country and features four Big 12 names, Hakeem Butler at number 12, Marquise Brown at number 9, Tylan Wallace at number 2 and Texas Tech's own Antoine Wesley as the best receiver in the NCAA.

It's easy to see why the Big 12 has such potent offenses when the talent level is so high. I will say I was pleasantly surprised that Wesley was ranked number one on the list, not because he doesn't deserve it, but because it's strange to see Texas Tech get national respect. Sure, the offenses at Texas Tech have long since been praised nationally, but that doesn't mean that individual accolades rolled into Lubbock.

Especially when the team is 5-5. Patrick Mahomes wasn't the number one college football quarterback on ANYONE'S list when he was at Texas Tech, and based on the success he's seen vs the other quarterbacks drafted in the last two seasons, he probably was.

Wesley though is having a season that has been impossible to ignore. He leads the entire country in yards per game and is in the top three in every other notable receiving stat except touchdowns, where he ranks in the top 10. He's number one in yards per reception out of everyone with more than 50 catches.

Long story short, Antoine Wesley is dominating.

Here's the write-up from Bleacher Report,

Not only is he big, long and fast, but he can also make all the plays. Wesley is second nationally and leads all Power Five receivers with 1,347 yards. He accomplished that on 78 catches and has scored nine touchdowns. He also has six 100-plus receiving-yard games this year.

Perhaps more remarkably, he's piled up huge numbers despite having three Red Raiders quarterbacks throwing him passes. In the past two games, he had 12 catches for 199 yards against Oklahoma and an eight-catch, 171-yard, two-touchdown performance against Texas.

The bigger the contest, the better his performance, and that's the mark of an elite receiver. Yes, he plays for a pass-happy offense, and the system helps his numbers. But he's a massive part of what TTU does, and he's great no matter who is throwing to him.

It doesn't matter what quarterback is throwing balls, they know that Antoine Wesley is going to catch it.

If you agree that Antoine Wesley is a dominant performer and is the best in the country at what he does you can go vote on him to win the Biletnikoff Award here or there is a direct link here and he is totally falling behind.

Wesley and the Red Raiders will look to secure bowl eligibility this Saturday when Texas Tech heads to Manhattan to face Kansas State in a 2:30 p.m. kickoff from Bill Snyder Family Memorial Stadium.
