True freshman Alan Bowman has been the toast of the town so far this football season. But during a nightmare first half against West Virginia, he got sandwiched by two defenders and did not return.

Bowman was confirmed out during the halftime, as Jett Duffey took over and played admirably in the second half, almost leading the Red Raiders to a gigantic 2nd half comeback. Bowman ended his time in the game at 9-for-20 for 123 yards, a touchdown and a tip drill interception.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury was asked about Bowman in the post game press conference, and said that the QB was transported to a local hospital. Per Don Williams, Kingsbury neglected to say for sure if it was a rib injury.

The Red Raiders will head into a bye week, with TCU looming on the horizon and even more questions at the quarterback position where, arguably, all three quarterbacks will be in play to start that game on Thursday night in prime time.
