Lubbock Police have provided more details concerning an aggravated robbery that happened at a 7-Eleven in North Lubbock on Tuesday, August 25th.

KAMC News reports that 17-year-old Joel Gonzalez Jr. walked into the 7-Eleven at 2423 Marsha Sharp freeway at around 2:30 a.m.

The employee that was working there says that they finished helping a separate customer and was then asked by Gonzalez if they were working alone. The employee turned around and said Gonzalez displayed a handgun while ordering them to give them all the money in the cash register.

The employee says that afterwards, Gonzalez stolen other items including several White Owl cigars. It's also said he pulled the power cord out of the phone so the employee couldn't call police before leaving in a black SUV.

He was pulled over shortly after and remains in the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling $27,500.
