Abraham Michael Cleaver Killed at Skool House in First Lubbock Murder of 2014
It had only been 2014 for a few hours in Lubbock when the first murder of the New Year occurred.
At around 3 a.m. on January 1st, Lubbock Police were called to a shooting at the Skool House bar at 1702 East 4th Street, which occurred following a fight.
They found one victim suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene, and two others had been taken to area hospitals with gunshot wounds in private vehicles.
Twenty-one year-old Abraham Michael Cleaver died as a result of his injuries.
Twenty-seven year-old Frank Jobrodrick Anderson and 25-year-old Nicole Lee Gocher were also injured. No word yet on their conditions.
Police have not released the name of a suspect or said if a suspect is in custody.
Another person was killed at the Skool House in July of 2013. A shooting resulted in the death of 36-year-old Christopher Ayers. Two people were charged with murder in the incident and another charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
