98th Street and Orlando Avenue to Undergo Water Line Work, May Cause Traffic Delays

Traffic on 98^th Street will be affected due to water line work beginning this weekend.

A contractor working for the City of Lubbock’s Lake Alan Henry Water Supply Project will tap into a large water main at the intersection of 98^th Street and Orlando Avenue.

The southernmost eastbound lane will be closed, and eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.

The intersection is scheduled to be under construction for around two weeks, beginning Sunday, September 11^th.

Inclement weather and mechanical problems could cause delays. Drivers are urged to use caution while driving in the area.
