Final Member Of Massive Lubbock Meth Ring Sentenced To Prison

The final member involved in a massive Lubbock meth trafficking scheme from 2025 has been sentenced to 14 years in prison. Other prison sentences for those involved range from 8 years to 30 years. Here are the full details.

2025 Lubbock Meth Bust

These arrests are a result of a months-long investigation in 2025 where agents obtained search warrants in late July for those involved. Here, they discovered "several pounds of methamphetamine, multiple firearms, and several thousand dollars in currency," according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

In total, over 4,200 grams (about 10 pounds) of meth was seized as a result of the searches.

Lubbock Arrests

On April 13, 2026, Shawna Nichole Zatloukal, 55, was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison. Zatloukal was the last person to be sentenced who was involved in the meth trafficking organization.

In total, there were six individuals who received extensive prison sentences:

• 55-year-old Shawna Nichole Zatloukal sentenced to 14 years
• 40-year-old Jeremiah "Chris" Arguijo sentenced to 30 years
• 59-year-old Christopher Alan Nagella sentenced to 20 years
• 52-year-old Adam "Adan" Casas, Jr. sentenced to 8 years (97 months)
• 46-year-old Benjamin "BJ" Hernandez sentenced to 11 years
• 45-year-old Nicholas James Westbrook sentenced to 13 years (160 months)

U.S. Attorney Ryan Raybould said that this massive meth bust should serve as an example to other would-be criminals:

These lengthy prison sentences should serve as a warning of what lies ahead for those who distribute narcotics in the Northern District of Texas. We will be relentless in identifying and prosecuting drug traffickers, as we continue to focus on making the communities in which we live safer.
