In Levelland, three men have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a shooting that injured at least one person.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Avenue C in Levelland at around 5:40 p.m. on Sunday, June 14th, and found the victim, 45-year-old Roland Paredez, with a gunshot wound to his lower leg.

According to a police report, Paredez told police that he had a confrontation with three men who had followed him home. That’s when one of the suspects pulled out a gun and Paredez ran inside the house.

Multiple shots were then fired, and Paredez was struck once in the leg. It's not clear if anyone else was injured, but there were multiple people inside the house.

Police were able to use video evidence to track down the suspect’s vehicle to the intersection of North MLK and West Monroe Street. The video also reportedly showed the suspects had an infant with them at the time of the shooting.

Three suspects were taken into custody: 20-year-old Jacariay Ford; 42-year-old Detrick Miller; and 44-year-old Darryl Miller. They’ve each been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, organized crime, and endangering a child.
