Two people were arrested in Lubbock this morning after trying to flee police.  An LPD officer on patrol this morning observed a suspicious vehicle near 34th and Quaker around 5:15.

When the officer pulled up behind the vehicle, it immediately fled the scene.  The driver and a passenger then bailed out of their vehicle near 18th and Chicago and tried to escape from the officer on foot.  The two suspects were immediately apprehended.

A police report shows that the suspects’ vehicle contained items believed to have been stolen from apartment complex tool sheds. There was also a significant amount of a substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Both occupants were charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Burglary, Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information, Evading in a Vehicle, and Evading on Foot.
