Texas Tech will present an annual concert featuring a successful alumnus.

Tech’s School of Music will present the 29th annual Summer Jazz Festival, featuring clarinet player Don Shelton.

Shelton, a Texas Tech alumnus, is a successful musician in Los Angeles, and lived and performed for 25 years in Chicago, playing and singing for thousands of radio and television jingles.

Music will be provided by the summer jazz band, along with Shelton and music major Rachel Boyd singing a song with the band. Alan Shinn will direct the group.

“I have always wanted to get back to the school that has so much history for me” said Shelton.

The performance will take place at 8 p.m. June 26th in the Allen Theatre, located in the Student Union Building on campus.
