"The Texas wine industry has grown very dramatically in the last ten years," Dr. Ed Hellman, Professor of Viticulture and Enology at Texas Tech University, told Tom and Laura Wednesday (March 4).

A lot of new wineries and new vineyards will be looking for trained graduates to hire in managerial and production positions, Hellman noted.

Winemakers are trained to be able to recognize the good flavor and aroma compounds, as well as the bad.
