A group at Texas Tech is hosting a set of panel discussions aimed at helping students know their legal rights.

Tech’s Student Legal Services will host “Know Your Rights” week, with information being provided February 14th through the 16th.

The events will include panel presentations on leases and landlords on February 14th, web worries on February 15th, and arrests and alcohol on February 16th. All presentations will be held in the Escondido Theatre in the Student Union Building at 2 p.m.

“Know Your Rights week offers students an opportunity to explore their rights relating to landlord or tenant issues, internet and social media, and criminal law through interactive panel discussions,” said Jeffrey Hays, attorney at law for Student Legal Services. “Panelists will discuss the current trends in their field and students will be given an opportunity to ask questions.”
