Texas Tech Organization to Host “Know Your Rights” Week

A group at Texas Tech is hosting a set of panel discussions aimed at helping students know their legal rights.

Tech’s Student Legal Services will host “Know Your Rights” week, with information being provided February 14^th through the 16^th.

The events will include panel presentations on leases and landlords on February 14^th, web worries on February 15^th, and arrests and alcohol on February 16^th. All presentations will be held in the Escondido Theatre in the Student Union Building at 2 p.m.

“Know Your Rights week offers students an opportunity to explore their rights relating to landlord or tenant issues, internet and social media, and criminal law through interactive panel discussions,” said Jeffrey Hays, attorney at law for Student Legal Services. “Panelists will discuss the current trends in their field and students will be given an opportunity to ask questions.”
