Texas Tech Health Sciences Center to Hold Distinguished Awards Ceremony

Some area physicians will be honored at a ceremony this week.

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine will host its Dean’s Distinguished Awards event at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 22^nd at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion, located at 602 Boston Avenue.

The Dean’s Distinguished Awards are to honor outstanding and dedicated support and service to the School of Medicine from community physicians.

This year’s Top Dean’s Distinguished Awards will go to Elias Ghandour, M.D., and Robert Salem, M.D. A number of other awards will be given as well.

Steven L. Berk, M.D., who serves as TTUHSC executive vice president and provost and School of Medicine dean, said these physicians exhibit outstanding commitment and service, and have been instrumental in advancing the School of Medicine’s mission.
