A national service fraternity is hosting an anniversary gala for their Lubbock chapter in early April.

Alpha Phi Omega will hold their 75th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, April 5th at the Overton Hotel and Conference Center, located at 2322 Mac Davis Lane.

Alpha Phi Omega is a national coeducational service organization founded on the principles of leadership, friendship, and service.

The Texas Tech chapter has weekly service projects at the University, Lubbock agencies, and youth camps. More than 3,000 people have been initiated into Tech’s Beta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega.

“The Beta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega has been actively engaged in developing servant leaders at Texas Tech University for 75 years,” said Rick Diles, vice president of the Beta Sigma Alumni Association. “We look forward to briefly dropping our paint brushes, shovels, and football programs for this event to celebrate our unique brand of leadership, friendship, and service.”

The gala will feature a slideshow, welcome remarks, dinner, reflections on 75 years of service, and more.

The event is open to the public, and the admission fee is $75. Tickets may be purchased at www.betasigma75th.reunionmanager.com.

Around 400 people are expected to attend the event.
