A Lubbock-area state representative has announced his bid for reelection.

District 84 State Representative John Frullo made the announcement Wednesday afternoon.

“It’s an honor to serve District 84 and Lubbock County as your state representative,” said Frullo. “We faced many challenges during the 83rd Legislative Session. Among those challenges were water infrastructure, transportation, and education.”

Frullo continued, saying “We addressed these pressing issues and were still able to balance the state budget while authorizing close to $1 billion in tax cuts for small businesses.”

He served on the State Affairs, Calendars, Pensions, and House Administration committees, and has been appointed by Speaker Joe Straus to the Energy Council.

Frullo was recognized with the “Lonestar Conservative Leader” rating by the Texas Conservative Roundtable.
