State Firearm of Texas

wikipedia.com

Today on the show we asked you, the listeners, to let us know what you think the official state firearm of Texas should be. We had a lot of good feedback and wanted to give you the opportunity to leave your thoughts here on what you think the official state firearm should be.

This all started because Utah now has an official state firearm, the John M. Browning-designed M1911 pistol. Utah is the first state to have an official firearm and I think Texas should have one. We have an official dog and insect, so why not a firearm?

So far the leading firearm is the Colt Paterson, followed by the Colt Walker and Winchester 94. Another popular pick was the Ruger Coyote Special.

So tell us, what do you think the official firearm of Texas should be?
