South Plains College has released their fall schedule for those wanting to continue their education.

The Levelland college will offer a number of courses, including some on welding, phlebotomy, sports photography, oil painting, basic pistol and rifle courses, and more.

The school says that registration continues for these courses through the start of classes. Costs vary between different classes.

The complete list of Continuing Education courses is below.

Classes offered in September will include:

Introduction to Welding continues through Dec. 11. The class will meet on Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Welding Technology Building. The cost of the class is $400 plus supplies. Registration is on-going for this class.

Basic Phlebotomy Session One is set for Sept. 10 through Oct. 18. The class will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in Technical Arts Room 112. Clinicals will be arranged. The cost is $390. The textbook will cost $115.

Homecoming Mums for Fun Orientation is set for Tuesday (Sept. 11) from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 107 of the Technical Arts Building. The class will be conducted Sept. 18 and Sept. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $25 plus supplies.

Live Sports Workshop will be offered from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 13, Sept. 20, Oct. 18 and Nov. 8 at the Lobo Football Stadium. Enrollment will be limited to four students per date, and acceptance will be based on first-paid basis. Selected students must be photographed for press passes. This class will offer hands-on chance to learn to shoot live action under fading sunlight and stadium lighting. The cost is $40.

NRA Basic Pistol will be offered from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 15 in Law Enforcement Room 115. The cost is $70.

Oil Painting for Fun is set for Sept. 17 through Nov. 12. The class will meet on Mondays from 7 to 10 p.m. in Fine Arts Room 134. The cost is $85 plus supplies. Scott Rombokus will be the instructor. (This class is NOT recommended for young children or women who are pregnant.)

Quilting Piecing-Morton Orientation is set for 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 17. The class will begin Sept. 24 through Nov. 26. The class will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Morton High School. The cost is $40 plus supplies.

Quilting Piecing-Levelland Orientation is set for 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 18. The class will begin Sept. 25 through Nov. 13. The class will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Founders Room. The cost is $40 plus supplies.

NRA Refuse to be a Victim will be offered from 2 to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 23 in Law Enforcement Room 115. The cost is $35.

Digital Photography Jump-Start Class is set from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 29. The class will be taught in the Fine Arts Building in Room 102. The cost is $40. Participants should bring their camera and manual.

Concealed Handgun Classes is set Nov. 17 and Dec. 1 on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The class will meet in Law Enforcement Room 115. It costs $70. If your license expires before the end of the year, please contact Kasey Reyes at 716-2341. The Sept. 29 and Oct. 20 dates are full.

Hydrogen Sulfide Safety is set for Oct. 1, Nov. 5 and Dec. 3. The class will meet on Mondays from 6 to 9 p.m. in Law Enforcement Room 108. The cost of the class is $15.

Decorating on a Budget Orientation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 2 in Room 107 of the Technical Arts building. The class will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 9 through Oct. 30. The cost is $25 plus supplies.

NRA Basic Rifle Shooting is set for 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 6 and 2 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 7. The class will meet in Law Enforcement Room 115. The cost is $70.

Certified Nurse Aide is set for Oct. 15 through Nov. 2. The class will meet Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Allied Health Building. Clinicals will be arranged from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The course costs $350. The State Exam cost is $93 and the textbook is $57.

The Nighttime Digital Photography at Reese Center will be taught during late evening into the night from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Oct. 27 in Building 5 at the SPC Reese Center campus. Students will learn advanced digital photography, how to paint with light and evening street photography. Students must have taken the Jump Start Class prior to taking this class. The cost is $50.

NRA Home Firearm Safety will be offered from 8 a.m. to noon on Oct. 27 in Room 115 of the Law Enforcement Building. The cost is $70.

Courses starting in November will be:

The Sunrise and Outdoor Lighting Workshop will be offered from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 3. The location will be announced. Students must have taken the Jump Start Class prior to taking this class. The cost is $50.

NRA Personal Protection & Advanced Personal Protection will be offered from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 3 and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 4 in Room 115 of Law Enforcement building. The cost is $125 and students must take both parts together.

Basic Phlebotomy Session Two is set for Nov. 5 through Dec. 13. The class will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in Technical Arts Room 112. Clinicals will be arranged. The cost is $390. The textbook will cost $115.

Holiday Wreaths will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 6 and Nov.13 in Room 107 of the Technical Arts building. The cost is $20 plus supplies.

Courses starting in December will be:

Studio Digital Photography Levelland will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 8 in the Fine Arts Building Room 102. The cost is $50. Participants in this class must have taken the Jump Start Class.
