Race Date Set for Komen Race for the Cure
The Susan G. Komen Foundation has set the date for an annual race. The Race for the Cure will take place on Saturday October 6th and will feature a 5K and 1 mile walk or run.
Participants may register online at komenlubbock.org. Cost for the run is $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 and younger. Race day registration begins at 6:30am.
Participants may also register in person at South Plains Mall on these dates:
Saturday, September 22nd – 11am-4pm
Saturday, September 29th – Noon-7pm
Wednesday, October 3rd – Noon-7pm
Thursday, October 4th – Noon-7pm
Friday, October 5th – 10am-2pm
Those wishing to support the Race without entering the Race can register for “Sleep In for the Cure” for $35 and will receive a Race T-Shirt and special set of eye covers.
Breast Cancer survivors will be honored throughout the race day festivities with a pre-race survivor breakfast at the “Think Pink” begins at 6:45am in the Civic Center Banquet Hall. Survivors will be limited to four guests.
