The Susan G. Komen Foundation has set the date for an annual race. The Race for the Cure will take place on Saturday October 6th and will feature a 5K and 1 mile walk or run.

Participants may register online at komenlubbock.org. Cost for the run is $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 and younger. Race day registration begins at 6:30am.

Participants may also register in person at South Plains Mall on these dates:

Saturday, September 22nd - 11am-4pm

Saturday, September 29th - Noon-7pm

Wednesday, October 3rd - Noon-7pm

Thursday, October 4th - Noon-7pm

Friday, October 5th - 10am-2pm

Those wishing to support the Race without entering the Race can register for "Sleep In for the Cure" for $35 and will receive a Race T-Shirt and special set of eye covers.

Breast Cancer survivors will be honored throughout the race day festivities with a pre-race survivor breakfast at the "Think Pink" begins at 6:45am in the Civic Center Banquet Hall. Survivors will be limited to four guests.
